Thurs: Senate Committee Hearing on 2 Gun Bills

SENATE COMMITTEE TO HEAR

2 GUN BILLS THURSDAY

Keep Urging All Senators to Oppose these Bills

On Thursday, December 16, the NJ Senate Law and Public Safety Committee is scheduled to hear S3757 (so called "safe" storage of firearms) and S372 (mandatory registration of all guns for new residents).

Please click here and also click here for detailed analysis and talking points about both of these bills which do nothing to punish gun crime but instead attack only the Second Amendment rights of honest citizens.

Please click here to contact every State Senator and tell them to oppose S3757 and S372. Tell them that S3757 directly interferes with lawful self-defense inside the home, and directly violates the U.S. Supreme Court Heller decision. Tell them that S372 creates a confusing, inconsistent double-standard between how new residents and existing residents are treated with regard to firearms registration, and will create chaos and mass-confusion for both civilians and law enforcement. Feel free to use the analysis in the alerts linked above in your emails to senators.
