NEW JERSEY COVID RULES BEING PHASED OUT ON GUN STORES AND VARIOUS RANGE ACTIVITIES! |
May 25, 2021. Under a series of executive orders issued by Governor Murphy over the past week, Covid 19 restrictions affecting gun stores and various range activities are being phased out between now and June 4, 2021.
Although the new executive orders do not explicitly mention gun stores and range activities, they call for a general phase-out of restrictions under the prior executive orders which resulted in capacity limits, social distancing, and mask mandates affecting activities at those locations since last year.
ANJRPC attorney Dan Schmutter has summarized the impact of the new executive orders on gun stores and range activities in the 3 charts shown below. Each chart summarizes the pertinent rules affecting activities at those locations during certain dates. The final chart at bottom, reflecting cumulative changes that become effective on June 4, 2021, eliminates ALL capacity limits, social distancing requirements, and mask mandates affecting gun stores, indoor and outdoor ranges, and competitions. |
