UPDATE ON LAWSUIT TO
OVERTURN NJ'S CARRY LAWS
April 20, 2021.  NRA, ANJRPC, CNJFO and other plaintiffs have filed a new legal brief in the lawsuit seeking to overturn New Jersey's unconstitutional carry laws.  The state of New Jersey is trying to delay the case, and the new brief explains all the reasons why the case should proceed without delay.

See a copy of the new brief by clicking here.  The brief was co-authored by attorney Dan Schmutter.

Whatever the outcome, the case is in its early stages and will need to move to the middle level federal courts before it can be considered by the U.S. Supreme Court.

In the meanwhile, the U.S. Supreme Court could decide as soon as Monday whether it will agree to hear a different carry challenge pending in New York.  Please stay tuned.
