| GOV. MURPHY RENEWS PUSH FOR FAILED GUN BAN ONSLAUGHT |
April 20, 2022. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is back with a renewed push for his misguided gun ban onslaught which fizzled at the end of the last legislative session. At a press event yesterday (click here for news coverage) Murphy spoke from the pulpit of a Paterson church, calling for passage of his infamous bill package which does nothing to punish violent criminals and instead targets Constitutionally protected rights of honest citizens.
The bill package from last session included proposals that blocked self-defense in the home, banned .50 caliber firearms, mandated electronic registration of ammunition purchases, required non-existent "microstamping" technology on handguns, created an inconsistent gun registration standard for new vs. current residents, held firearms manufacturers responsible for the illegal actions of criminals, and much more. While no legislation in the bill package is currently scheduled for a hearing, gun owners should remain vigilant and prepared to take massive action should we sound the alarm.
