NRA Basic Pistol Class at Cherry Ridge Range!

The NRA Basic Pistol class is not yet a known requirement for the NJ Concealed Carry Permit, however it is a good first step firearms owners. This class offers the foundational skills required for more advanced firearm training.

ANJRPC Membership is NOT required.

Intended for beginners or as a refresher for experienced shooters this course will teach the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. The course is a minimum of 8 hours and covers the following topics:

• Pistol knowledge and safe gun handling
• Ammunition knowledge and the fundamentals of pistol shooting
• Firing the first shots
• Benchrest and Two-Handed Standing shooting positions
• Pistol sports and activities.
