State Outdoor Pistol
Championships 2003
The
2003 State Championship was conducted over the weekend of September
26-28, 2003, at the South River Pistol Club in South River. Some
77 shooters from six states came to compete for the awards, obtained
from our sponsors through the efforts of Kathy Chatterton and David
Lange.

Dorman, of Delaware, was the overall match winner with a score of
2625 (out of 2700).

Lange of Glen Rock was New Jersey State Champion, with a score of
2617.

highest scoring New Jersey shooters, based on scores in the .22 National
Match Course, earned honors by achieving membership on the State Pistol
Team in the NRA's Postal Match. Those shooters were:

New Jersey Pistol
Shooters Come In Third In The Nation
The NRA conducts a Postal Pistol
Match each year among participating states. Scores are based on
individual performance in the .22 National Match Course fired as part of
the State Championship.
