Indoor State Championship

 de Myer does it again! 

 On Sunday, February 26th, 2006 the NRA NJ Police Pistol Indoor State Championships were held at the Tenafly Rifle and Pistol Club in NJ. Shooters from all around the State and surrounding states (NY, D.C. & MD) were in attendance.

Officer Robert de Myer from New Jersey became the New Jersey Indoor State Champion for a third consecutive year. Officer de Myer was also the Overall Match winner with a combined score of 2951-165X out of a possible 3000 points. Officer Carl Michaud of Washington, D.C. placed second in the overall with a combined score of 2934-154X and Officer Mike Clark of N.Y.P.D. placed 3rd in the overall with a 2907-147X

In the revolver division Officer Carl Michaud was the Overall 1500 Revolver winner with a 1481-80X just beating out Officer de Myer by one point. Officer Robert de Myer placed 1st in the Master Class with a 1480-83X. Officer John Brown of placed 1st in the Expert class with a 1452-72X. Officer Mike Driber placed 1st in the Sharpshooter class with a 1429-49X. Officer Gene Zaiss placed 1st in the Marksman class with a 1233-25X. Officer Beth Taglibue placed 1st in classified class with a 1232-19X. Finally Officer Doug Johnson placed 1st in the Unclassified class with a 1377-43X

In the semi-auto division Officer Robert de Myer was the Overall 1500 Semi-Auto winner with a 1471-72X. Officer Carl Michaud placed 1st in the Master class with a 1453-74X. Officer Robert Schwartzkopf placed 1st in the Expert class with a 1421-63X. Officer Mike Clark placed 1st in the Sharpshooter class with a 1432-67X. Officer Frank Jackson placed 1st in the Marksman class with a 1236-26X. Officer Marvin Inman placed 1st in the classified class with a 1316-43X. Finally Officer Dave Rosenthal placed 1st in the Unclassified class with a 1345-40X

Officer Schwartzkopf and Brown from New Jersey teamed up and won the two-man team event with an outstanding 1174-59X out of 1200-120X. Finally Officer Robert de Myer won the Overall Service auto missing a perfect score by only point and scoring a 479-34X.
