Minorities’ Day
at the Range:
A Three-Time Winner!
The third annual Minorities’ Day at the Range and
Juneteenth Celebration was held at Cherry Ridge on June 22. ANJRPC and
its affiliate club, the Tenth Cavalry Gun Club, Inc., once again
extended a warm welcome, introducing many potential new shooters to the
sport.
Thanks to the many hours of preparation work done by the volunteers
everything ran smoothly and the participants were guided through the
firearms training session and on to the range in record time.
For the first time a special range was provided for the younger folks
where they were supervised one on one in the use of .22 cal rifles on
the silhouette range. For the really young folks there was an indoor
adult supervised game area, which allowed their parents to participate
in the various shooting disciplines without having to monitor their
children.

The adult guests were divided into three groups, which allowed them to
rotate between the shotgun, rifle and pistol ranges without any delays
or confusion. After two rotations there was a break for lunch where once
again an international menu from five different cultures was provided
for the participants to select from for their eating pleasure.
