2004 Annual Meeting:
Visits from Friends in the Legislature
A number of the Association’s friends
in the New Jersey legislature addressed our meeting, offered their
continued support and urged everyone to continue the effort to defend
our rights. Senator Gerald Cardinale (R/39) encouraged everyone
to do what was necessary to help pro-Second Amendment candidates win
their elections. Assemblyman Guy R. Gregg (R/24) and Senator
Tony Bucco (R/25) urged us to make our support for President Bush
and the Republican Congressional candidates known. “This is not a year
to sit it out,” said Gregg.
Dick Kamin, a candidate for the
New Jersey Republican Chairmanship, brought bumper stickers and lawn
signs for attendees to take home and display. Bill Spadea, the
Republican candidate from the 12th Congressional District (with an
“A” rating from the NRA), also spoke.

Steve Lonegan, the Mayor of Bogota,
(left) who will be seeking the nomination for New Jersey Governor
addressed the attendees, stayed for lunch and placed the winning bid on
the wildlife print auctioned off to raise funds for the ANRJPC/PAC by
the Association’s champion fundraiser, Mike Bodner.
