ANJRPC Wins NRA State
Association of the Year Award
ANJRPC has won the NRA 2002
State Association of the Year award, selected from NRA’s 10,000
affiliated gun clubs and state associations, based on its outstanding
work and leadership as an NRA state affiliate.
The award was presented at a ceremony before the NRA officers and board
of directors in Arlington, Virginia on September 13, 2003. ANJRPC
was acknowledged for its excellence in accomplishing the objectives of
NRA at the state level, including shooting outreach, operation of the
Cherry Ridge Range, ongoing conduct of competitions and youth shooting
sports activities, hunter education, operation of the www.anjrpc.org
website, and publication of News & Briefs, among other factors.
The award was presented by NRA President Kayne Robinson and was accepted
by ANJRPC President Bob Esch, ANJRPC Executive Vice President and NRA
Board Member Scott Bach, and ANJRPC Regional Vice President and NRA
Board Member Bob Viden.
A commemorative banner will be on display at the Cherry Ridge Range
clubhouse for all to see. Thanks to each and every one of our team
of dedicated volunteers, whose hard work and selfless service are the
cornerstones on which ANJRPC’s accomplishments rest.
Bob Esch, President of ANJRPC said, "I am honored to accept this
award on behalf of our members. Over the last year we have worked hard
to strengthen our programs to protect the Second Amendment rights of all
law-abiding shooters and firearms owners in New Jersey, and to promote
shooting as a safe and wholesome family activity.
