ANJRPC Wins NRA State Association of the Year Award

ANJRPC has won the NRA 2002 State Association of the Year award, selected from NRA’s 10,000 affiliated gun clubs and state associations, based on its outstanding work and leadership as an NRA state affiliate.

The award was presented at a ceremony before the NRA officers and board of directors in Arlington, Virginia on September 13, 2003.  ANJRPC was acknowledged for its excellence in accomplishing the objectives of NRA at the state level, including shooting outreach, operation of the Cherry Ridge Range, ongoing conduct of competitions and youth shooting sports activities, hunter education, operation of the www.anjrpc.org website, and publication of News & Briefs, among other factors.

The award was presented by NRA President Kayne Robinson and was accepted by ANJRPC President Bob Esch, ANJRPC Executive Vice President and NRA Board Member Scott Bach, and ANJRPC Regional Vice President and NRA Board Member Bob Viden.

A commemorative banner will be on display at the Cherry Ridge Range clubhouse for all to see.  Thanks to each and every one of our team of dedicated volunteers, whose hard work and selfless service are the cornerstones on which ANJRPC’s accomplishments rest.

Bob Esch, President of ANJRPC said, "I am honored to accept this award on behalf of our members. Over the last year we have worked hard to strengthen our programs to protect the Second Amendment rights of all law-abiding shooters and firearms owners in New Jersey, and to promote shooting as a safe and wholesome family activity.
