Safer Since Ruby
Ridge, Waco Events?
The following letter was published in
the March 27 edition of The Jersey Journal.
Feb. 28 marked the 10th anniversary of the beginning of one of the
sorriest episodes in American history, the judicially determined illegal
assault of the group of Christian Americans known as the “Branch
Davidians” just outside of Waco, Texas by the out-of-control zealot
forces of “gun control.” Yet not a word did I read in this newspaper
or any other of what was front page headlines when it happened.
Subsequent to the Sept. 11 attacks on America, I'd like to ask through
this page: Aren’t all you Bill Clinton, Janet Reno, Bob Torricelli, Jim
Florio, Rosie O'Donnell “gun control” types happy that America, with
all its military might, focused its attention on the “terrorists” at
Ruby Ridge and Waco?
Haven't you all been sleeping more soundly or walking to your cars in dimly lit
parking lots with greater ease since the survivors of the Waco debacle
have been rotting in jail? What's that? What's Ruby Ridge and Waco? Right!
Like what were Lexington and Concord? They were all places where the
government came “to take the guns.”
Perhaps if we just keep them out of the newspapers and school books long
enough they'll just go away. Wouldn’t Alec Baldwin and Martin Sheen just
love that?
