Membership Sundays

Rain or shine, the first Sunday of every month is devoted to providing prospective range members with a mandatory safety briefing, registering them as range members, collecting their dues and issuing them temporary range passes.

• Shooters should arrive by 9:30 to fill out their applications. Latecomers may or may not be processed.

• The safety briefing is mandatory. No one can join the range without it.

• The entire process is generally finished by 11:30.

• Range members can shoot the same day they register, but must have eye and ear protection, a firearm, ammunition and targets, none of which are sold at the range. Target frames, required on the 100 yard and pistol ranges may be purchased at the range or made by members. Range passes must be worn where they are easily seen by the range officers.

• Range membership dues are $190.00 for new adult members, $132.00 for renewals. See Dues for family and other rates.

• Members can also purchase safety flags, target frames, caps and ANJRPC patches.

Can I shoot at the Cherry Ridge Range?
YES – You can come with a range member as his or her guest, or you can become a range member by attending range membership Sunday, held on the first Sunday of every month. (See details above.) See Cherry Ridge Range for details on each of the ranges.

What are the hours at Cherry Ridge?
Cherry Ridge is open from 8:30AM to sundown every day of the year except Christmas and the two yearly work weekends. Competitions, training and several major events are held throughout the year. Some or all ranges may be closed for these events. See Range Schedule for a complete list of events and range availability.

Can I get a range membership through the mail?
YES – if you are currently a range member, you can renew by mail.
NO – if you are not currently a range member, you must attend a mandatory safety briefing, held on the first Sunday of every month.

Can I bring a guest to Cherry Ridge?
YES – You can bring one guest per visit for a guest fee of $25.00. You can bring a guest as many times during the year as you wish. The $25.00 guest fee is payable each time. You and your guest must share a port. See Guest Privileges for more details.

I’m a regular Association member. Can my $25.00 dues be credited toward range membership?
NO – New range members are required to pay the entire range dues and initiation fee. See Dues for a complete list of dues for new members and renewals.

I was a range member and let my membership lapse. If I want to renew, do I need to attend the safety briefing again?  
YES – if your membership lapsed more than two years ago, you must attend the briefing. 

Do I need to pay the range initiation fee again?  
NO – You are only required to pay the range dues applicable to your class of membership. See Dues for a complete list.
