ANJRPC/PAC Candidate Ratings and Preferences

TAKE YOUR BEST SHOT!
by Bob Esch

 Many times people say:

“I’m not voting for anyone this year; they’re all no good!” or perhaps:

“I’m not going to bother to vote – they’re all the same!” or

“I’d vote for Smith if it weren’t for his stupid position on that last bill!”

C’mon. These people are not being realistic. They are wasting the most precious thing an American has – his vote. You will never agree, across the board, with any candidate. To make your vote count, you must choose the candidate that best represents your view on the issues most important to you. In the upcoming presidential election, this should not be difficult.

Another way to waste your most precious freedom, your right to vote, is to vote for a candidate that cannot be elected. It may be satisfying to go against the leading parties, as a matter of principle, but does it accomplish anything? No. You might even throw the election to the candidate you like the least. Again, for your vote to count, you must choose the candidate who will best represent you.

Please remember that New Jersey is now considered a “swing state.” Every vote counts.

Make your vote count! Give it your best shot!
