SPECIAL NOTE OF THANKS
Special thanks to Joan and John Montenigro, the Montclair parents who originally brought to my attention the Ceasefire flyer that the schools sent home with the children. Joan and John immediately drew up an opposing flyer and our lawsuit against the School Board was launch. Their support and determination was critical in making this case a success. Bringing suit against the anti-gun town of Montclair was not easy -- particularly since Joan and John's children go to the Montclair schools. They were courageous and deserve special appreciation. Also special thanks to our attorneys who did an excellent job: Harry Kresky successfully negotiated and led this case from the beginning. Kresky brought a legal and political savvy to the case that was critical in our negotiations. Scott Bach, ANJRPC Executive Vice President and newly elected member of the NRA Board, provided critical leadership to Kresky on behalf of the ANJRPC, and led us to its final successful settlement. Bach comprehended the national significance of the case, and was able to secure supplemental funding. His leadership has been invaluable. A special note of appreciation to attorney Ed Zohn who acted as local counsel and has previously represented the ANJRPC in another successful case.
