ANJRPC/PAC Candidate
Rating and Preferences
For the New Jersey General Election November 4, 2003
Boldface type with a check mark ( )
to the left of a candidate’s name and party affiliation means that the
candidate has been endorsed by the ANJRPC/PAC. An asterisk (*)
immediately to the left of the name means that the candidate is an
incumbent.
A
to the right of the name means that the candidate acted to pass the
"smart gun" law either by voting in favor of the law or by
flip-flopping his or her vote on the chamber floor during the voting
session as part of partisan gamesmanship.
A to the right of the name
means that the candidate voted in favor of “ballistic imaging”
legislation.
A question mark (?) under the rating column means that the candidate
failed to return the candidate questionnaire by the deadline and/or
there was insufficient information about the candidate to assign a
rating at the time of the grading session.
Ratings (A+ through F) and endorsement decisions were made based on a
thorough review of the candidate’s questionnaire, voting record (to
the extent applicable), long and short-term commitment, if any, to the
Second Amendment, past interaction with the ANJRPC PAC, and other
miscellaneous factors.
