Outdoor State Championship
de Myer wins a fourth State
Championship Title!
On Saturday and Sunday September 23rd
and 24th the NRA New Jersey Police Pistol Outdoor State
Championships were held at the ANJRPC Cherry Ridge Range in New Jersey.
Forty shooter from all around the State and surrounding states (N.Y., PA,
VA and MD) were in attendance.
Officer Robert de Myer from New Jersey became the New Jersey
Outdoor State Champion. He was also the Overall Match Winner with a
combined score of 2950-182X and “TOP GUN” recipient. Officer Steve
Albanese of New York placed second overall scoring a 2939-151X. Officer
John Schatzel also of New York placed second overall with a score of
2933-151X.
In the revolver division Officer Steve Albanese was the Overall
1500 Revolver winner scoring a 1483-89X just beating Officer de Myer by
one point. Officer Manny Andrews placed 1st in the High Master
Class scoring a 1478-90X. Officer Robert de Myer placed 1st in
the Master Class with a 1482-95X. Officer John Schatzel of placed 1st
in the Expert class with a 1470-73X. Officer Ralph Velez placed 1st
in the Sharpshooter class with a 1396-47X. Officer Doug Johnson placed 1st
in the Marksman class with a 1405-48X. Officer Stan Zaleski placed 1st
in Classified class with a 1397-40X. Finally Officer Harry Foltz placed 1st
in the Unclassified class with a 1306-39X
In the semi-auto division Officer Robert
de Myer was the Overall 1500 Semi-Auto winner with a 1468-87X. Officer
Manny Andrews placed 1st in the Master class with a 1389-59X.
Officer Harry Baumann placed 1st in the Expert class with a
1465-79X. Officer John Schatzel placed 1st in the Sharpshooter
class with a 1463-78X. Officer Frank Jackson placed 1st in the
Marksman class with a 1382-36X. Officer Harry Foltz placed 1st
in the classified class with a 1427-55X. Finally Officer Keith Rotsart
placed 1st in the Unclassified class with an 1157-20X.
Officers Andrews and Albanese from New York teamed up
and won the two-man team event with an outstanding 1177-69X out of
1200-120X. Officer Harry Baumann won the Overall Service auto missing a
perfect score by only point and scoring a 479-33X. Lastly Officer de Myer won the Overall
Service Auto shooting a “Perfect Score” of 480-40X.
